Sealand Cup X was the tenth edition of the Sealand Cup, the friendly competition of the Sealand federation and was held in (Dutch) season 22. The final was held at VK Knudde Arena on 24 October 2007, where KVC Aquila defeated Utrechtseboys 4–3 after a golden goal. This was the first time that a Belgian club won the Sealand Cup. Defending champions EFC Gelderland were eliminated in the semi-finals by Utrechtseboys.

Participating teams

20 teams participated in Sealand Cup X, including three previous champions. Ten teams made their début. It was the first edition since Sealand Cup III that at least half of the teams were first-time participants.

The teams were drawn at random into five groups, with each team playing one or two home matches, also decided by this draw. Notably, all former winners were drawn in the same group.

Group Stage

The Group Stage of the eighth Sealand Cup ran from 19 September to 3 October 2007.

Format

The teams in each group played each other in a single round-robin format, playing the other teams in the group once (at home or away). Each team earned de jure 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss. De facto, the final result determined the number of points: if a drawn match went to extra time, the winner earned 3 points and the loser 0 points. If no extra time was played, both teams earned 1 point. The winners of each group and the three best runners-up advanced to the quarterfinals. Teams that did not challenge their opponent or accept their opponent's challenge were penalized with an automatic defeat.

Note: the fact that drawn matches that went to extra time were awarded 3 and 0 points (according to their final result) caused some differences in the qualifying teams. If the original rules had been applied, the following changes had occurred in the group classification:

• Group A: Naarden (7 points, 12–3) would have been group winner, but EFC Gelderland (7 points, 8–1) would still have qualified as the best runner-up.
• Group E: Sturky (6 points, 4–2) would have qualified as group winner, with TSC (4 points, 5–3) missing out on qualification as the worst runner-up. Joey's Champions (4 points, 2–8) would have been ranked third, ahead of JBU Winterswijk (3 points, 8–6).

On the other hand, if the "overtime-rule" had been applied to all matches, this would not have resulted in other teams qualifying:

• Group C: FC United Lierse and The Jazz Messengers drew 1–1. If the match had produced a winner, The Jazz Messengers would still got first place in their group and FC United Lierse would still got third place in their group.
• Group D: Nat'Korima Koron and The Dark of the Matinee drew 3–3. As both teams lost their other two matches, the extra time would only have decided third place and eventually not have influenced qualification.

Knockout Stage

The next stage of the tournament was the Knockout Stage. Eight teams qualified for this stage (the group winners, accompanied by the three best runners-up). The winners of Group A and B would face each other in the quarterfinals, with the winners of Group C, D and E each facing a runner-up from another group. The exact pairing depended on the groups from which the runners-up qualified (see below). In the semi-finals, the winners of the matches involving the Group A and Group E winners faced each other and so did the winners of the matches involving the Group C and Group D winners. All knockout matches were played at a neutral venue. VK Knudde Arena, the home stadium of Vy Mamynka, was selected as host of the final.
