Sealand Cup VIII, also known as Sealandcup VIII, was the eighth edition of the Sealand Cup, the friendly competition of the Sealand federation and was held in (Dutch) season 20. The final was held at Stade de Savoie on 14 March 2007, where defending champions Kings Squad defeated Sturky 3–2 after a golden goal.

Participating teams

15 teams participated in Sealand Cup VIII, including only one of the previous champions; title holder Kings Squad. SV Spakenburg made their début.

The teams were drawn at random into four groups, with each team playing one or two home matches. As the number of participating teams (fifteen) was not divisible by four, one group was composed of only three teams (with each team playing one home match).

Group Stage

The Group Stage of the eighth Sealand Cup ran from 7 to 21 February 2007.

Format

The teams in each group played each other in a single round-robin format, playing the other teams in the group once (at home or away). Each team earned 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss. The top-two teams of each group advanced to the quarterfinals. Teams that did not challenge their opponent or accept their opponent's challenge were penalized with an automatic 0-3 defeat.

Knockout Stage

The next stage of the tournament was the Knockout Stage. Eight teams qualified for this stage (the group winners and runners-up from all four groups). The draw for all rounds was done at random. This meant that group winners could face each other in the quarterfinals. Home advantage was decided by the luck of the draw. Only the final was played at a neutral venue. For that match, Stade de Savoie, the home stadium of the Savoie U20 national team, was selected.
