National Teams

Senior National Team

      Main article: Österreich national team

Österreich has participated in every World Cup. The team failed to advance past the pre-qualification round in the first three World Cups, but since then has consistently enjoyed moderate success. Österreich has only failed to qualify for World Cup IX and World Cup XIII, but has only advanced past Round II three times, each time bowing out in Round III.

U-20 National Team

Main article: Österreich U-20 national team

Österreich enjoyed a run of six very successful U-20 World Cup tournaments between U-20 World Cup III and U-20 World Cup VIII. Despite starting out in the pre-qualification round, Österreich advanced to the semifinals of U-20 World Cup III. After being eliminated in Round III of the next two tournaments, then suffering a surprising failure to qualify in U-20 World Cup VI, Österreich made it all the way to the final of U-20 World Cup VII under the management of LukasW, losing to Norge in added extra time. They followed this performance up with a semifinal appearance in U-20 World Cup VIII. Since then, the team has fallen on hard times, failing to qualify for the next four U-20 World Cups. Current manager PeteResch is hoping to reverse their recent fortunes and return Österreich to their former glories.
