Ukraine (Ukraina in local language, Україна in Cyrillic alphabet) is a Eastern European country. It was the 59th nation to join the Hattrick World.

Ukraine has an area of 603 628 km2 (233 062 sq mi), making it the second-largest country in Europe after Russia. It has a population of about 42 million. Capital and largest city is Kiev.
A Cossack republic emerged and prospered during the 17th and 18th centuries, but its territory was eventually split. After World War II the country became a part of the Soviet Union. Ukraine gained its independence in 1991.

History

• The Ukrainian league has existed since July 2003. It is one of the new countries create, along with other five, in global season 20.
• The country was restarted after an error. Due to the error, what appears as season 2 is in fact season 1, season 3 is season 2, etc. For example, the displayed season 36 was the 35th season played (note that the strange data behave is not corrected in the National trophies table below).
• The main cup was initially named Ukraina Cup then became Кубок України, and the top division was renamed from Vyscha Liga to Premier-Liga.
• Ukraina has not hosted any World Cup yet.
