Finland (Suomi in Finnish, but Swedish is the second official language) is a Northern European country. It was the 11th nation to join the Hattrick World.

The Republic of Finland has a population of near 5.5 million people. Helsinki is the capital and largest city.
Finland got independent from Russian Empire the 29 March 1809.

History

• Finland was one of the countries created in January 2001 (global season 12).

As part of Hattrick's initial expansion, even if younger than Sweden, the country uses the global season count (along with only Germany, England, Italy, France, Denmark, Argentina, Mexico and USA).

• Finland hosted U-20 World Cup XI, but failed to qualify for the event.
• Finland also hosted U-20 World Cup XVIII, winning a Bronze medal.
