U-20 National team

The National team U-20 Nippon represents Japan in juniores international friendlies and the U-20 World Cup.

Japanese NT U-20 plays international games since 2002, so they took part to qualifying for U-20 World Cup I.

U-20 team managed to get to the second round of the World Cup only twice:

In the qualifications of U-20 World Cup IX the team succeeded in finishing at 2nd spot behind Danmark and ahead of Sverige and Chile. In the last 32 stage Nippon's U-20 was able to beat Nederland, but suffered losses from England and Slovenija and got eliminated eventually.
They placed second in qualification group and advanced to Round II after almost 13 years. This time they accessed Round III.
