Prince Roy Cup VIII was the eighth edition of the Prince Roy Cup, a friendly competition in the Sealand federation for teams that were not able to compete in the Sealand Cup. The tournament was held in (Dutch) season 74, with the final being played at de Tudorel Udreskoe Arena on 15 October 2023. Royal Sun And Evil FC defeated 1Utreg1 with 4–2 to win their first Prince Roy Cup. Title holders Ad Maiorem Mei Gloriam entered in the Sealand Cup (which they eventually won) and did not compete.
Two-season absence
The Prince Roy Cup was played for the first time in three seasons: at least four teams had to be eligible for participation for the tournament to go ahead. There were too few potential participants in season 72 and 73 for the Prince Roy Cup to be played, so the tournament was put on hiatus. Although there were only three eligible teams in season 74, an exception was made for this season.

Season 72
During season 72 , only three teams were not able to compete in Sealand Cup LIV. The Prince Roy Cup did therefore not go ahead. No exception was made for this season, as Royal Sun And Evil FC already had commitments in Sealand Super Cup 2023.

Season 73
In season 73, all entrants were able to compete in Sealand Cup LV. Without any potential participants, no Prince Roy Cup was planned.
Participating teams
Three teams were not able to compete in Sealand Cup LVI because they were still active in a cup competition. Although this number was - according to the rules - too low for the Prince Roy Cup to go ahead, an exception was made nevertheless. All three had won multiple Sealand Cups in the past. Two of them had never participated in the Prince Roy Cup before.

Group Stage
The Group Stage of the eighth Prince Roy Cup ran from 27 September to 11 October 2023.
Format
The three participating teams played each other in a single round-robin format, playing the other teams once (one match at home and one match away). Each team earned 3 points for a win in regular time, 2 points for a win after extra time or after a penalty shoot-out, 1 point for a loss after extra time or after a penalty shoot-out and 0 points for a loss in regular time.
The draw decided which teams met each other in the first week. The team that had a bye in the first week faced the winner of that match in the second week and the loser of that match in the third week. The top-two teams qualified for the final.
