Netherlands (Nederland in Dutch) is a Western European country. It was the 12th nation to join the Hattrick World.

The Netherlands are a constitutional monarchy, located in northwestern Europe. The current borders were established in 1839. The kingdom is formed by the European Netherlands, the Netherlands Antilles, and Aruba.
The Netherlands are often referred to by the name Holland. This is not terminologically precise, since the provinces of North and South Holland in the western Netherlands are only two of the country's twelve provinces.

History

• The Dutch League was created in May 2001 (global season 13).
• The country was restarted after an error. Due to the error, what appears as season 2 is in fact season 1, season 3 is season 2, etc. For example, the displayed season 36 was the 35th season played (note that the strange data behave is not corrected in the National trophies table below).
• It was the first league to have more divisions than Sweden.
• The Netherlands hosted World Cup III, reaching semi-finals.
