Match report

Clouds darkened the skies at Revenge of the Plumo's Arena as 2763 spectators turned up for the match. Josef ten Have was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Valerio 'Muralla' Robledo and Scott Busuttil.

The following players had been chosen by Revenge: Lek - Castanys, Magdy, Zandter, Brammann, Casoria - Beekhuis, Pita, Leurink - Verkerk, Bulder. Back-on-Track fielded: Ballout - Rebelo, Dragiev - Curiel, Guðjónsson, Kurtov, Van Keymeulen, Bilon - Paşcan, Jahnick, Flores.

Revenge of the Plumo's fielded a 5-3-2 lineup. For Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track, the formation of choice was 2-5-3. Revenge used their brilliant ability to concentrate their attacks in the middle of the pitch, rather than on the wings.

First half

Back-on-Track's Herberto Rebelo managed to lose the defenders as he advanced down the right wing and scored, putting the visitors ahead after 7 minutes. 0 - 1. After 24 minutes a combination in the middle resulted in a through ball for Daniel Jahnick who increased Back-on-Track's lead to 0 - 2. Jorge Guillermo Flores increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3. 38 minutes into the match, Back-on-Track's George-Daniel Paşcan demonstrated his famed speed as he raced past his marker and passed the ball to Jorge Guillermo Flores who chipped it in for 0 - 4. 40 minutes into the game, Back-on-Track worked the left side industriously creating several opportunities to add to their lead, but just couldn't apply the finishing touch. 0 - 4 was the halftime score. Back-on-Track enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 67 percent of possession.

Second half

After 70 minutes Jorge Guillermo Flores made a speedy advance and dropped the ball to Kornelius Bilon who shuffled it past the keeper. The score was now 0 - 5. Revenge's Jordi Castanys was shown a yellow card for standing over the ball and blocking an opponent's quick free kick after 73 minutes. George-Daniel Paşcan came close to extending the visitors' lead when he found himself completely unmarked in front of the goal after a pass through the middle. He tried to lift the ball over Ralf Lek but overcooked it and hit the bar instead. Back-on-Track increased their lead after 81 minutes when Jorge Guillermo Flores broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 6, much to the home crowd's dismay. That made three goals for Jorge Guillermo Flores and he was marked down for the hat trick. The referee announced 1 minute of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over.

Post match

The match ends 0 - 6. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Back-on-Track, with 69 percent of the ball. The most dominating Revenge player was without a doubt Jordi Castanys. Ralf Lek turned in a dismal performance, however. Dory Ballout performed admirably for Back-on-Track. Ove Guðjónsson on the other hand, had a terrible day.
