History

Bulgaria was given birth as an HT-country in November 2002. There are currently more than 7,000 users in the Bulgarian leagues.

The history of HT-Bulgaria started around 2001 with more users from Bulgaria deciding to enter the game in different leagues around the world. The Bulgarian league system was created in November 2002. Later, in the spring of 2004 the website was translated in Bulgarian, which attracted a lot more users.

Important Dates

• 29.11.2002 at 12.12: Red--Stars (117071) became the first team to join the Bulgarian leagues.
• 03.12.2002: The first game ever to be played was a friendly match between Red-Stars and Panonia (then Pononia). The score was a smashing 0-8 for the away team. The first goal was scored in the game's first minute by Marin Kostov.
• 05.02.2003: First official trophy won in Bulgaria - for Levski 1914 with owner Black_Jack.
• 04.07.2003: The first champion (human user) is AC Slavi de Furore, owned by Slavi Manalov. In this way the team also completes the only double in the history of Bulgaria, after having won the cup several weeks before.
• 21.02.2003: First win for a national team in a friendly against Taiwan by 4 - 1.
• 14.05.2004: The U-20 team reaches the World Cup and wins the first official match for a national team on 07.05.2004 against U-20 Singapore by 2 - 1 under the leadership of RageLord.
• 24.05.2004: Hattrick.org presents the website's translation in Bulgarian language. The first LA is Scorcher.
• 04.06.2004: Adron, owned by Mittko, completes his hattrick of three consequtive titles from the Vissha Liga.
• August 2004: Hattrick.Formenos, the most popular Bulgarian Hattrick forum nowadays, is created.
• 18.08.2004: Mitko69 becomes the first Bulgarian GM.
• 05.01.2005: Yellow squad, owned by DRMalinov, completes a hattrick of national cups (seasons 4, 6 and 8).
• 09.03.2005: The portal website HT-BG.net becomes active.
• 16.06.2006: The Senior team of Bulgaria wins its first match in a World Cup (against Peru).
