The players mostly are coming from GAB youth club Go Ahead Minors currently run by former GAB striker and cult-idol Rickert Euwe(Head Manager of the Youth academy in charge of youth prospect development).
Primary goal and vision of GAB is to provide a great match experience for the fans while maintaining a low wage philosophy.This is mainly done by keeping the weekly expenses lower then the weekly income.
The strength of GAB on the pitch comes from a broad spectrum of tactics and formations,a game philosophy started by the famous first player/coach Egbert van Merkenstein(46386709).After his active career Egbert became the club's first technical director.In this function he is in charge of the long range planning and the team's overall preformance.
Fan Club
GAB's fan club is called Cave Canem.From the first day on they provided the team with great support during home and away matches.Some of the senior Cave Canem members even come to the traininggrounds on a daily bases to talk about the game,club and players and share club experiences with each other.
Something that is a great joy to the fans is the club's philosophy to never sell players for profit.More often then not the players beeing sold ask for a transfer themself,but luckily the very best players are very happy to retire at GAB and never ask that feared question.
