Hattrick International Season 2, or Global Season 65, was the second season in which Red Star Tunis participated. They played in League V.112.

Season Synopsis

Stadium

The Red Star Tunis stadium, the Stade Karl Marx, had its original capacity of 12.000 seats increased to 21.500 seats in the beginning of the season.

Season Summary

After the third place in League VI.266 last year, and the subsequent promotion, the team played in League V.112. The ambition this season was again to focus on training new players. Results were secondary, but the team hoped to stay in Division V. The team reached the third round of the Hattrick International Cup, in which it lost 6-3 on the field of S.D.P.M. after prolongations.

In the competition, results were mitigated. The team failed to win some key matches, becoming the "Kings of Draws", like trainer Carballa stated it after their fifth draw, at matchday 12. Because of the lack of victories, the team continued to fight against a possible degradation back to fifth division, something they wanted to absolutely prevent. It was only on the last matchday, thanks to a 0-4 victory on the field of Hellenic Hotspurs FC that the team reached their final fifth position, and qualified for the degradation play-offs. In that game, the team played against You'll Never Walk Alone from Japan, and defeated them 7-0. Like this, RST remained in fifth division.
