First half
For their match strategy, Galactico had decided to use their formidable ability to counter-attack whenever possible. George-Daniel Paşcan would have preferred to play on, but his coach decided otherwise. Vilnis Madeikis entered the game for Back-on-Track as the match clock showed 3 minutes. Vilnis Madeikis caused the crowd to go mental with his goal up the middle after 4 minutes. This gave Back-on-Track the 1 - 0 lead. Hatef Agha Ebrahimian of Galactico seemed to be floating in the air as he elegantly headed in to make the score 1 - 1 after a corner kick that was nicely executed by Naum Bilbilovski. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Naum Bilbilovski from Galactico a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 29 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! With 31 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 2 - 1 lead as David Colaluce flipped the ball in after a cross from the right. Things were deteriorating for the away team as Back-on-Track scored another to make it 3 - 1 after a left side attack resulted in a goal for Alessio Amatori after 34 minutes. After 36 minutes, a couple of quick and successful challenges followed by a shot from just outside the penalty area by David Colaluce might have resulted in another goal for Back-on-Track. However, Ardi Kajtazi made a spectacular save. With 38 minutes played, Bengt-Åke Håkansson of Galactico fell dramatically just outside the penalty area. However, the referee was unimpressed, and booked him for diving. With 40 minutes played, Rik Wilkin could have brought this one home for Back-on-Track as he charged up on the left, but his hooked ball went just a bit too high. 3 - 1 was the halftime score. Back-on-Track had most of the ball, with 79 percent of possession.
Second half
Back-on-Track's Eduardo Garardi swung in a good chance from the left, but the visitors' defence were able to clear the ball. Almost all the way down to the corner flag, Back-on-Track's Alessio Amatori somehow managed to get a perfect pass into the middle, impossible to miss for Yan Bespyatykh, who struck for 4 - 1. With 63 minutes played, Back-on-Track put themselves up 5 - 1 when the visiting defenders lost the ball to David Colaluce, who came up from the left and proceeded to coolly round the keeper and knock the ball home. Simon Humbert knocked one home from a counterattack down the right wing, making the score 5 - 2 after 72 minutes. Galactico's defence sent a ball soaring up the middle on a beautiful counterattack with 76 minutes gone, but Juan Luis Valdivia's finish was met by the reaching hands of the keeper. The players were tired, but when the referee announced that there would be 2 minutes of added time they, nonetheless, welcomed the extra opportunity to make an impact. The match ends 5 - 2. Back-on-Track claimed to have seen most of the ball, and the statistics agreed with them - possession being 80 percent.
Post match
Othmane Amri performed admirably for Back-on-Track. However, Rik Wilkin made a disastrous appearance. Most important Galactico player was Naum Bilbilovski. Massimiliano Sberveglieri on the other hand, had a terrible day.
