Global season 38, or Belgian season 25 is the first season of Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track. In this season Back-on-Track competes in series IX.24 and the Belgian Cup.

Pre-Season
- January 21st, 2009: In the Cup, Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track is paired with FC Admiraal from IV.20. There is no hope of progressing, but the financial boost will ofcourse be welcome.
- January 22nd, 2009: Before even his first match as a coach, Lieven Coucke is replaced by Spanish coach Kamil Haddad.
- January 23rd, 2009: Engelbert Horak becomes the first transfer ever, as he is signed for just 1 000 € from Belgian team tommyboy. Later that day, three more players are signed.
During the season
- January 28th, 2009: The first ever competitive match ends in a major 0-8 defeat to FC Admiraal, a team at that time playing 5 levels higher than Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track. Engelbert Horak immediatly shows his value as he is Lokomotivs man of the match.
- January 30th, 2009: Remo Buccisano will go into history as the first outgoing transfer, as he moves for 159 000 € to Spartak Astana from Kazachstan.
- March 1st, 2009: with only F.C. Vlekkenkampioen and Lokomotiv still with the perfect record, the away match proves to be a first test for the title, Lokomotiv convincingly wins 1-5.
- April 5th, 2009: As F.C. Vlekkenkampioen has dropped a few more points, the return match at The Railroads is the final opportunity for Vlekkenkampioen. They get outplayed however, with Lokomotiv winning 7-2.
- April 12th, 2009: beating De hele echte stamgasten on the road 0-5 secures the promotion to division VIII with three more matches to go. Vlekkenkampioen is nine points behind, but could in theory still overtake Lokomotiv on goal difference.
- April 19th, 2009: a 6-0 home win to ElectricFabric secures the title.
- April 28th, 2009: Paul Hartland signs a contract at LKS Zryw Bąków, a Polish team to become champions in division VI. The transfer sum is a whopping 255 000 € for Lokomotiv, whereas Paul had been signed for just 1 000 € at the beginning of the season. The training programme of Lokomotiv is praised and new youngsters are signed following Paul's leave. Croatian Saša Orović is also signed as a keeper for the future.
- May 3rd, 2009: Two minutes before the end of the final match against Best Kiekes, while already leading 0-5, Emin Muhammet Oğulbay just sends his shot wide and thus remains on 11 goals. He takes the top scorers trophy but has to share it with F.C. Vlekkenkampioen's Stéphane Carrein. With two more goals in the final minute, Lokomotiv wins the match 0-7 and thereby completes a perfect season.
