: FW — even if losing skills in the rain and in the sun, the quick event is the most frequent for FW, making it the best choice. A "must" for every team.
: FW — only Unpredictable Own Goal negative event possible and with high Passing he can create SE chances or intercept the ball and create unlikely scoring opportunities.
: FW — can create chances if an opposing defender or inner midfielder is a head specialist. Playing with defensive order he gives a boost to side attacks.
: Powerful FW — plays better in the rain, but worst in the sun. He may also create a special event forcing a second chance to shoot after a normal chance is missed.

A common suggestion is to have in the team (when playing with a 2 forwards formation) one quick forward and one among unpredictable and head specialty. The choice is based on the number of header players already present in team.

Defence

Midfield

Offence

Forward is a player's position within Hattrick. He is a striker usually used to score the chances your team creates.

Skills

Primary skill is Scoring, but also Passing and Winger contribute to teams attack ratings. Playmaking skill may also be useful.

Regarding influence on ratings, a level of Scoring is equivalent to about 3 levels of Passing.

Contribution

Each forward contributes to all three attacks, Attack left wing, Attack centre and Attack right wing. Forwards may give a small help to midfield ratings too.

Individual Orders

Forward's individual order determines what side profits the most. In detail, skill contributions are:

Forward normal (FW) — uses scoring and passing for all three attacks and winger only for the side attacks.
25.0% of his Playmaking skill for Midfield
22.4% of his Scoring skill for Side Attack
12.2% of his Passing skill for Side Attack
19% of his Winger skill for Side Attack
36.9% of his Passing skill for Central Attack
100% of his Scoring skill for Central Attack
Forward towards wing (FTW) — uses more winger, use more scoring and passing to the side, and less to the centre.
15.0% of his Playmaking skill for Midfield
18.2% of his Scoring skill for the far Side Attack
45.1% of his Scoring skill for his Side Attack
18% of his Passing skill for Side Attack
52.2% of his Winger skill for Side Attack
26.1% of his Passing skill for Central Attack
60.7% of his Scoring skill for Central Attack
Defensive forward (DF) — uses less scoring, uses more passing and some playmaking and stamina.
35.0% of his Playmaking skill for Midfield
12.4% of his Scoring skill for Side Attack
31.0% of his Passing skill for Side Attack *
12.4% of his Winger skill for Side Attack
54.3% of his Passing skill for Central Attack
58.3% of his Scoring skill for Central Attack

(*) Technical DF gets an extra bonus, from 31% to 41%, to Passing skills for Side Attack.

Agglomeration Penalties

There are some agglomeration penalties, in case you play 2 or 3 forwards on the same central position. Those penalties occur to all the skills of the players from that specific central compartment of your team and they are:

 • 2 Forwads: -5.5%
 • 3 Forwards: -13.5%

Specialities

A Forward with no specialty is a decent player, but with something less. Here is a ranking of specialities on forwards:

Head FW — no negative effects and more chances to score on set pieces and winger events.
Quick FW — even if losing skills in the rain and in the sun, the quick event is the most frequent for FW, making it the best choice. A "must" for every team.
Unpredictable FW — only Unpredictable Own Goal negative event possible and with high Passing he can create SE chances or intercept the ball and create unlikely scoring opportunities.
Technical FW — can create chances if an opposing defender or inner midfielder is a head specialist. Playing with defensive order he gives a boost to side attacks.
Powerful FW — plays better in the rain, but worst in the sun. He may also create a special event forcing a second chance to shoot after a normal chance is missed.

A common suggestion is to have in the team (when playing with a 2 forwards formation) one quick forward and one among unpredictable and head specialty. The choice is based on the number of header players already present in team.
