Mongolia (ᠣᠩᠭᠣᠯ ᠤᠯᠤᠰ,Монгол Улс, Mongol uls in) is a Far East Asian country. It was the 99th nation to join the Hattrick World.
Mongolia is the most sparsely populated sovereign state in the world with a population of around 3 million living in an area of 1.5 milion km2 (600 000 sq mi). Ulaanbaatar, capital and largest city, is home to about half of the country's population. It is also the world's largest landlocked country that does not border a closed sea.Approximately 1/3 of the inhabitants are nomadic or semi-nomadic and the territory has been ruled by various nomadic empires; the most important, the Mongol Empire founded by Genghis Khan, conquered China and became the largest contiguous land empire in history.
History
- Mongolian league has existed since September 2005. It is one of the six new leagues for global season 27.
- Mongolia has not hosted any World Cup yet.
