Sealand Cup IX was the ninth edition of the Sealand Cup, the friendly competition of the Sealand federation and was held in (Dutch) season 21. The final was held at De Radstake on 27 June 2007, where EFC Gelderland defeated HetBeste 1–0. Defending champions Kings Squad were eliminated in the group stage.

Participating teams

12 teams participated in Sealand Cup IX, including only one of the previous champions; title holder Kings Squad. I.P. United made their début. Sturky became the first team to participate in seven Sealand Cups, only missing the second and sixth edition.

The teams were drawn at random into three groups, with each team playing one or two home matches.

Group Stage

The Group Stage of the ninth Sealand Cup ran from 23 May to 6 June 2007.

Format

The teams in each group played each other in a single round-robin format, playing the other teams in the group once (at home or away). Each team earned 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss. The top-two teams of each group and the two best third-placed teams advanced to the quarterfinals. Teams that did not challenge their opponent or accept their opponent's challenge were penalized with an automatic defeat.

Note: HetBeste lost their last group match by walk-over. No official score was awarded, but as they qualified for the knockout stage, it is acceptable to state that the de facto result of the match was at most a 7–0 loss.

Knockout Stage

The next stage of the tournament was the Knockout Stage. Eight teams qualified for this stage (the group winners and runners-up from all four groups, accompanied by the two best third-placed teams). In the quarterfinals, the winner of Group A would face the runner-up of Group C and the runners-up of Group A and Group B would face each other. The winners of Group B and C would face the best third-placed teams, with teams from the same group being kept apart. For the semi-finals, the draw was done at random. In the quarterfinals, the group winners and the runner-up of Group A had home advantage. The semi-finals and final were played at a neutral venue, with De Radstake, the home stadium of Achterhoek Admirals, being selected as host of the final.
