The five participants played in a single group, so only the home advantage for each match was drawn. The match order was determined partially by draw, with Appy United (the team most likely to play in a qualifier) automatically receiving their bye round at January 3rd. The order of the two final rounds was only decided after the third round, to decrease the chance that the winner would already be known before the last round.

The sixth Prince Roy Cup ran from 23 December 2020 to 10 January 2021. The five participating teams played each other in a single round-robin format, playing the other teams once (two matches at home and two matches away). Each team earned 3 points for a win in regular time, 2 points for a win after extra time or after a penalty shoot-out, 1 point for a loss after extra time or after a penalty shoot-out and 0 points for a loss in regular time. For goal difference purposes, winning after extra time or after a penalty shoot-out counted as a single golden goal. This point system is comparable to the system used by the (real-life) IIHF for international ice hockey matches.
Because of the odd number of teams, all five participants had one bye round in the group stage.
The team finishing on top of the group was crowned the winner of the Prince Roy Cup. If two teams were level on points, the winner of the head-to-head match would have been ranked higher.

Prince Roy Cup VI was the sixth edition of the Prince Roy Cup, a friendly competition in the Sealand federation for teams that were not able to compete in the Sealand Cup. The tournament was held in (Dutch) season 65, returning after two seasons of absence. FC Biegstraaten went undefeated and secured their title at the final matchday by defeating Ad Maiorem Mei Gloriam. Title holders Appy United - who lost against FC Biegstraaten on penalties - won their other matches and finished as runner-up.

Two-season absence

After the fifth edition, the Prince Roy Cup was not played for two seasons. Because of a change in the rules, at least four teams had to be eligible for participation, or the tournament would not be played. There were too few potential participants in season 63 and 64 for the Prince Roy Cup to be played, so the tournament was put on hiatus.

During season 63, only three teams were not able to compete in Sealand Cup XLV. Because of a rule-change, the Prince Roy Cup did not go ahead.
