Tim Grauls was recruited by Red Star Brussels right before his 16th birthday, and evolved in their youth club Rode Sterretjes Brussels. His potential as a future first team striker became immediately clear. He was even shortly followed by the U20 scouting team in Belgium, but didn't qualify for that team because of his age that didn't match with the U20 world cup matches.

Tim was promoted to the first team in the sixth week of Season 64. He became part of the attackers training plan, and was planned to become a first team attacker in the future.
