On 21 October 2018, Heliflyers received Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track as part of the 12th matchday of season 69 of the VI.87 series. Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track went into the match as Unofficial Clubteams World Champions, turning this into a UCWC title match, they managed to remain UCWC champion due to a rapid quickfire on the hour mark, scoring twice in two minutes for a 0-2 victory.
Match report
Clear skies welcomed the 17400 spectators who had made their way to Heliflyers Hell. Jairo Vargas was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Stefano Galardini and Viorel Colomei.
The following players had been chosen by Heli: Marchand - Hunaerts, Beeckmans, Vangodtsenhoven, Maquet, Lombaerts - Steen, Francois, Kocsis, Donne, Peltier -. The following players took the field for Back-on-Track: Ballout - Rebelo, Garardi - Van Keymeulen, Hahn, De Muynck, Van Lede, Al-Sadah - Otchigin, Zhivotnev, Paşcan.
First half
Heliflyers started the game in a 5-5-0 formation, whereas Lokomotiv Veltem Back-on-Track lined up in a 2-5-3 formation. The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Herberto Rebelo from Back-on-Track a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 24 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient! Max Marchand looked great 28 minutes into the match after stopping a shot from the middle of the penalty area from the visitors' Nikolay Zhivotnev. Heli were pushed back, and had many dangerous counterattacks. An impressive one came 29 minutes into the match, but Arthur Beeckmans narrowly missed the free kick attempt that was awarded as a result of a foul. The guests almost went up by a goal after 31 minutes when Guido De Muynck came through and shot from the right. The ball bounced harmlessly off the post, though. Eduardo Garardi was unable to continue, following a severe injury to his right knee, 32 minutes into the match. Giulio Bergamaschi tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day. It was 0 - 0 at the break. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Back-on-Track, with 69 percent of the ball.
Second half
With 61 minutes played, the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending. Giulio Bergamaschi put the ball away for 0 - 1. Nikolay Zhivotnev increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 2. The referee announced 1 minute of stoppage time, giving fans a slim hope that their team could get one more attack in before this was all over. Back-on-Track's George-Daniel Paşcan made it through the home team's defence on the right hand side 89 minutes into the match. After rounding the keeper, he only had to place the ball in the unguarded goal when a defender slid in and cleared the ball off the line. Good work by the Heli defensive line after 90 minutes produced a good counterattack chance, which cut elegantly down the middle of the pitch and found Peter Lombaerts alone in front of the goal, but his shot whistled just wide. The match ends 0 - 2. Possession in this half belonged to Back-on-Track, who controlled the ball 70 percent of the time.
Post match
Heli's best player was Jean-Charles Vangodtsenhoven. Patrícius Kocsis turned in a dismal performance, however. Most important Back-on-Track player was Silvain Hahn. George-Daniel Paşcan was a disappointment, however.
