Occitània
Occitània is the cultural area in Europe where the Occitan language is spoken. Under this name, Occitània has never been a political entity, but it is generally seen as a linguistic and cultural concept. On 28 September 2016 Occitanie became the name of the French administrative region that succeeded the regions of Midi-Pyrénées and Languedoc-Roussillon, but it is only a small part of the cultural area Occitània.
