Kosovo, officially the Republic of Kosovo, is a landlocked country in Southeast Europe with partial diplomatic recognition. It is bordered by Albania to the southwest, Montenegro to the west, Serbia to the north and east, and North Macedonia to the southeast. It covers an area of 10,887 km2 (4,203 sq mi) and has a population of nearly 1.6 million, of whom the vast majority (approximately 92 per cent) are ethnic Albanians. Kosovo has a varied terrain, with high plains along with rolling hills and mountains, some of which have an altitude over 2,500 m (8,200 ft). Its climate is mainly continental with some Mediterranean and Alpine influences. Kosovo's capital and most populous city is Pristina; other major cities and urban areas include Prizren, Ferizaj, Gjilan, and Peja.

The country exists since 2008, and his national team is member in UEFA and FIFA since 2015.

Why Kosovo is not a Hattrick Country

Despite being a full member of FIFA, which is a requirement for admission to Hattrick, it is a country that is only partially recognized diplomatically, currently being claimed by Serbia as part of its territory.[1] Although this is merely a community assumption, as Hattrick has not issued an official statement on the matter.

Some regions of Serbia have the name of part of Kosovo, as Priština and Prizren, But this is a sign that Serbia was created before Kosovo's independence in 2008, not necessarily as a political signal of the game

Recently, HT-Chase commented the possibility in the future of the existence of Kosovo in the future, due to his FIFA Membership: There are many FIFA countries that are not yet in Hattrick, and there is no guarantee that all FIFA countries will get their own leagues. The only guarantee is that when pick a new country, we look for them among FIFA countries. Thank you!

Nationality Criteria

Since Kosovo is a country partially recognized and doesn't have representation in Hattrick, its existence is only for entertainment purposes, until Hattrick says otherwise about it

1. The player have Albanian or Serbian Nationality

2. The player have other nationality but with a Kosovar surname
