Sealand Cup VI was the sixth edition of the Sealand Cup, the friendly competition of the Sealand federation and was held in (Dutch) season 18. The final was held at Het Glorieuze Stadion van het Volk on 26 July 2006, where Dashit Kabomb defeated Tijny Devils 1–0. Defending champions Naarden did not compete in the tournament.

Participating teams

16 teams intended to participate in the Sealand Cup VI. In the end, Kings Squad could not play any match, because they were still active in the national cup. Six teams made their début.

Group Stage

The Group Stage of the sixth Sealand Cup ran from 21 June to 5 July 2006.

Format

The teams in each group played each other in a single round-robin format, playing the other teams in the group once (at home or away). Each team earned 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss. The top-two teams of each group advanced to the quarterfinals. Teams that did not challenge their opponent or accept their opponent's challenge were penalized with an automatic 0-3 defeat.

Knockout Stage

The next stage of the tournament was the Knockout Stage. Eight teams qualified for this stage (the group winners and runners-up from all four groups). In the quarterfinals, group winners hosted runners-up. Originally, teams from Group A and D were scheduled against each other, and so were teams from Group B and C. In the end, however, teams from Group A and B faced each other, and so did teams from Group C and D. In the semi-finals, the winners of the quarterfinals involving the winners of Group A and C would play in the first match, while the winners of the quarterfinals involving the winners of Group B and D would play in the other match. The final was (for the second time) played at Het Glorieuze Stadion van het Volk.
