Latvia (Latvija in local language), is a Northern European country, the 45th nation to join the Hattrick World.

History

• Latvian league exists since the 19 April 2002, and, like all new leagues, started with 168 teams in global season 16.
• In December 2002 Latvia expanded to 680 teams (4 divisions). After that, it has expanded twice: division 5 was added in Summer 2003, and division 6 was added in Autumn 2004.
• Every now and then, local community organized summer meetings or parties in honor of the cup or league winners.

• Latvia was the host country of the World Cup XXIII.

• Latvijas Kaulu Lauzēji (for those who like to harm opponents player helth).
