Early career
Álvaro Simões was discovered by Belgian side Red Star Brussels during Season 47, and immediately became a promising youth player. His diverse skills (passing, defending, playmaking and set pieces), combined with his height and heading ability, made him a very suitable player for the RSB first team. He promoted to first team in Season 48.
Career at SVV Red Star Brussels
Álvaro Simões joined the young recruit training programme, aiming at bringing homegrown players to the first team in the longer run. He will become one of the teams' strongholds in the future.
