Azerbaijan (Azərbaycan Azeri in Portuguese) is a Near East Asian country. It was the 107th nation to join the Hattrick World.
Republic of Azerbaijan is home to 10 million people. Capital and largest city is Baku.Before being incorporated into the Soviet Union, Azerbaijan was the first secular democratic Muslim-majority independence state (1918-1920). The modern Republic of Azerbaijan proclaimed its independence on 30 August 1991.
History
- Azeri league has existed since April 2006. It was one of the five new leagues created before global season 27.
- At the beginning of local season 5, the league system was extended to four divisions, as it has reached 168 users some weeks before.
- Azerbaijan has not hosted any World Cup yet.
