Leonardo Rubén Tasca (Bucaramanga, Colombia) was a Colombian football player who played most of his carreer for SVV Red Star Brussels. He was a Forward, and is currently the owner of the restaurant "El Francotirador de Santander".
Youth Player
Tasca started his playing career through the youth academy of local team catryx in the region of Santander, in Colombia. He was promoted to the First Squad during Season 37, but never played at this team. Instead, he moved to Italy to play for AS Cisco Calcio Roma.
Arrival in Europe: Italy and England
Leonardo Rubén received relatively little official playing time at AS Cisco Calcio Roma, being more a reserve player. He did however vastly improve his scoring skills, and was later transferred to the English team BRiXton BLaZing StaRz. However not playing a lot of games there neither, he learned a lot about taking free kicks, making this one of his specialties. It's this ability that ensured his transfer to SVV Red Star Brussels.
Career at SVV Red Star Brussels
Leonardo Rubén Tasca was transferred to Red Star Brussels to become the standard second attacker next to Joël Crahay. He is the team's specialist in free kicks, and played in most of the official matches during the seasons. When in Season 47 Dutch attacker Cas Hond joined the team, Tasca become less of a first team player, but a regular subsitute. Tasca finished his carreer at the end of Season 51, after becoming top scorer a last time. He holds the record of number of competition goals in one season, 18 goals in Season 43, the most times topscorer for RSB (5 times) and the highest ratio goals/games played (scoring 0,97 goals per game played), which gave him his nickname "El Francotirador de Santander".
