Bulgaria was given birth as an HT-country in November 2002.

The history of HT-Bulgaria started around 2001 with more users from Bulgaria deciding to enter the game in different leagues around the world. The Bulgarian league system was created in November 2002. Later, in the spring of 2004 the website was translated in Bulgarian, which attracted a lot more users.
* The number of Bulgarian accounts sensibly raise in late Spring 2004. In fact on 24 may 2004 the local language translation was launched, and the game started to attract a lot more users.  
 
* Bulgaria hosted [[U-20 World Cup XXX]]. NT was eliminated only in Round III.

* 29.11.2002 at 12.12: [[Red--Stars]] (117071) became the first team to join the Bulgarian leagues.
* 03.12.2002: The first game ever to be played was a friendly match between [[Red-Stars]] and [[Panonia]] (then Pononia). The score was a smashing 0-8 for the away team. The first goal was scored in the game's first minute by [[Marin Kostov]].

Bulgaria (България, Balgariya in local language) is an Eastern European country. It was the 54th nation to join the Hattrick World.

Republic of Bulgaria has a population of almost 7 million. Capital and largest city is Sofia.
The Bulgars founded the First Bulgarian Empire in AD 681, which dominated most of the Balkans and significantly influenced Slavic cultures by developing the Cyrillic script. A Second Bulgarian Empire reached its apex in the first half of 1200 before it fell under Ottoman rule for nearly five centuries. In 1946 Bulgaria came under the Soviet-led Eastern Bloc until the democratic constitution of 1991.


History

  • The Bulgarian league has existed since in September 2002 (global season 17).
  • The country was restarted after an error. Due to the error, what appears as season 2 is in fact season 1, season 3 is season 2, etc. For example, the displayed season 36 was the 35th season played (note that the strange data behave is not corrected in the National trophies table below).
  • The number of Bulgarian accounts sensibly raise in late Spring 2004. In fact on 24 may 2004 the local language translation was launched, and the game started to attract a lot more users.
  • Bulgaria hosted U-20 World Cup XXX. NT was eliminated only in Round III.

  • The first user to join the Bulgarian leagues was RageLord (Club: Red--Stars) (29/11/2002 at 12.12). He played the first Bulgarian game ever on 03/12/2002. It was a friendly match between Red-Stars and Panonia (then Pononia) with a 0-8 smashing score for the away team. The first goal was scored at first minute by player Marin Kostov.
  • The first official non-bot club to win a cup was Levski 1914, owner by Black_Jack (05/02/2003).
  • The first human user Vissha Liga champion was Slavi Manalov who led AC Slavi de Furore to victory on 04 July 2003, shortly after being crowned cup champion several weeks before. This was also the first double in the history of Bulgaria.
  • The first LA was Scorcher, while Mitko69 became the first Bulgarian GM on 18 August 2004.
  • After season 6, Adron, owned by Mittko, completed his "title-hattrick" (three consecutive top division titles).
