Plopeanu started to play for his local team Superbones 2202 during Season 29. He quickly became a regular first team player, and received his first training in this team. He was however seen as a strong leader figure, an ability that would bring him much succes in his later career. After three seasons, Plopeanu decided to go search for his luck abroad, and transferred to Victoria Skrzeszewo in Poland. He only stayed a couple of games, to continue his training, and to have him remarked by foreign scouts. It's at the Dutch team -=DDWM=- that he found a first long-time employer.
Netherlands, Italy and Germany
Ilie Plopeanu would play most of the games for his Dutch employer -=DDWM=-. As the ambitions of the team grew, Plopeanu's position became more difficult, and in Season 37, the young Romanian parted for Italy. After a bit more then one season, he went to Germany, to be closer to his family in The Netherlands again. He had a new career at SV Tornesch Pfahlweg, but in Season 41, his hopes of getting even closer to his family made him go to Belgium, and join Red Star Brussels.
Career at SVV Red Star Brussels
Ilie Plopeanu Red Star Brussels was recruited to become the team's central defender. He is also the first captain of the team, and plays in most of the official matches during the seasons.
