#{{note|ref-1}} '''Lions''' was initially named '''Iingonyama'''.
#{{note|ref-2}} The official hall of fame claims that [[Manure United]], managed by ''Spineless'', is the national cup champion, but that is impossible, as the team only became active in December, while the first final should have been played in July.

#{{note|ref-1}} ''Lions'' was named ''Iingonyama'' at the beginning.

South Africa (in English: South Africa in , Afrikaans: Republiek van Suid-Afrika, in Zulu: iRiphabliki yaseNingizimu Afrika, in Xhosa: iRiphabliki yaseMzantsi Afrika) is an African country. It was the 25th nation to join the Hattrick World.

The Republic of South Africa is located at the southern tip of the African continent. It borders the countries of Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Moçambique, Swaziland, and Lesotho (an independent enclave entirely surrounded by South African territory). Capitals are Pretoria (executive), Bloemfontein (judicial), Cape Town (legislative), and the Largest city is Johannesburg.
RSA is often referred to as the "rainbow nation" to describe the country's multicultural diversity: South Africans are over 58 million, about 80 percent of Bantu and 8% of European ancestry (while the remaining 12% are mixed and Indian).

Footnotes

  1. ^  Lions was initially named Iingonyama.
  2. ^  The official hall of fame claims that Manure United, managed by Spineless, is the national cup champion, but that is impossible, as the team only became active in December, while the first final should have been played in July.
