Zoran Dobrila is a Croatian football player who currently plays for Farmers on the storm and Croatian National Team, mainly as a Wing Back, although for the club he sometimes plays as Winger or Forward Towards Wing, and in earlier days of his career he also played as Inner Midfielder. He is renowned for his quickness.
Early Career
Dobrila was scouted as 15 year-old by scouts of team Skrpani in 6th week of Season 49. He was then promoted from the team at the very end of Season 50. Although having near-perfect birthday, he was never called-up to U-20 Croatia. He played at his mother club for roughly season and a half, before being transfered to Romania, where he played for a team named after country. Croatian scouts spotted him there and he was quickly brought back to his country, first playing in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a team whose owner is from Croatia, and then for a farm team NK Kiseljak. After Kiseljak decided to stop farming players, he was bought by Farmers on the storm, acompaining same-aged Benjamin Ramljak on teams wingbacks.
Career at Farmers
When he joined Farmers midway through Season 60, the team was just newly promoted to series V.128. In Dobrilas first season with them, they won series title, but were beaten in promotion match against Div. IV opponents Vucibatine. Next season, team finished in dissapointing 3rd place. In Season 62 Dobrila was amongst best players for the team as Farmers again won V.128, but this time they had more luck in qualifications, defeating team Pool-Side-Liver on away ground 2-0 and secured Div. IV football for first time after becoming farm.
In next three seasons, Farmers achieved greatest succsesses in club history, winning IV.48 in Season 64, and reaching 3rd place in III.15 a season after. Dobrila was one of the most crucial players in next seasons' successful campaign to avoid relegation, in which Farmers won qualification game and secured one more season of III-division football.
National Team
Dobrila debuted for National Team at the end of Season 60. He was part of the team that participated in World Cup XXV in France and World Cup XXVI in Guatemala, reaching Round 3 on both occasions (best results for Croatia in history). He was a part of the Team for qualifying phase of World Cup XXVII. So far he have played 59 games for national team, scoring only one goal.
