Cape Verde (Cabo Verde in Portuguese) is an African country. It was the 105th nation to join the Hattrick World.

The Republic of Cape Verde is a small island country located on an archipelago of ten volcanic islands with a combined area of about 4 thousand km2 (1,557 sq mi). Its population is around half a million. The capital and largest city is Praia.
The archipelago was uninhabited until Portuguese explorers discovered and colonized the islands in the 15th century, but the end of transatlantic slavery in the 19th century led to economic decline and emigration. Independence was achieved in 1975.

History

• Cape Verdean league has existed since December 2005. It is one of the four new leagues for global season 28.
• Cape Verde has not hosted any World Cup yet.
