Voorruit Vooruit is just a regular club in Hattrick, it has achieved nothing special. The club is currently in the process of becoming an all home-grown team, without any incoming transfers. This process started in the summer of 2010 after a few years of avoiding the transfer market.
History
In May 2003 Voorruit Vooruit was founded as S.V. Zuidzande. On December 26th 2005 it was renamed Voorruit Vooruit, which means Windscreen Go Ahead. It is a regular club and between 2003 an 2007 it climbed from division VII to division V and had two good cup runs, reaching rounds 8 and 7. In 2007 the manager was transferring less and less, the last transfer was made in December 2007. After that the manager developed an apathy of the transfer market. The squad was getting older and older and by the summer of 2010 all but 2 players were over 30.
Apathy of the transfer market by the manager remained, so he made a plan to revive the squad with youth players. On September 30th 2010 the youth club Voorruit Met De Geit (Windscreen With The Goat, derived from a Dutch expression, which literally translates 'go ahead with the goat') was founded. This youth club supplies Voorruit Vooruit with all it's players. A very long term trainig plan was set up, so freshly promoted players fit in the training schedule and are trained until they are good enough to play official matches for the first team.
In from season 31 onwards (from April 2010) there was a complete lack of results because the veteran players were declining rapidly and gradually replaced by very young youth-squad players. In the long term the goal is to be competitive again. At the time of writing (December 2011) the club hasn't had any incoming transfer in over 4 years.
