Uganda (also called Uganda in local language) is an African country. It was the 123rd nation to join the Hattrick World.

Republic of Uganda (Swahili: Jamhuri ya Uganda) is in the African Great Lakes region and also lies within the Nile basin. Capital and largest city is Kampala. Population estimated is 42,7 million.
Beginning in 1894, the territory was ruled as a protectorate by the UK. Uganda gained independence on 9 October 1962. The period since then has been marked by violent conflicts.

History

• Ugandan league has existed since June 2008. It joined Hattrick right before the beginning of global season 36, together with the Maldives.
• Uganda has been announced as a new country on the 5th of June 2008 as Republic of Uganda. The name was changed at the end of the first season.
• Uganda has not hosted World Cup yet.
