Map of the Hattrick World showing the Number of League Levels in each Country in 2009

A league consist of all the series belonging to one country.

Leagues are created by the Hattrick Team to allow managers from the same spot of the globe to play more closely together and to share the same spot of the conference and also the same fame.

Hattrick World is currently constitute of:

Divisions Expansion

Main article: Series

Depending on the number of users in that specific country, there is a certain number of levels, or divisions, for each Hattrick country. The smallest countries have only three divisions, the largest ones (i.e. Spain and Germany) reached eleven of them at maximum expansion. It means that a team starting in the bottom division, XI or 11, had to climb 10 levels to get to the top division (i.e. Bundesliga in Germany or Allsvenskan in Sweden) .

Here are some notable league expansion steps in Hattrick history:

  • Season 2 - 680 teams, Allsvenskan, division 1, division 2 and division 3 are created.0
Divisions Structure
Division Teams Capacity
Number Roman
1 I 8
2 II 32
3 III 128
4 IV 512
5 V 2048
6 VI 8192
7 VII 8192
8 VIII 16384
9 IX 16384
10 X 32768
11 XI 32768
  • Season 15 - V. Division in Deutschland.
  • Season 18 - VI. Division established in España, Nederland and Deutschland.
  • Season 19 - VII. Division established in Nederland.
  • Season 20 - VI. Division established in Italia, Polska and Suomi; VII. Division in Schweiz.
  • Season 21 - IV. Division in Lietuva, Srbija i Crna Gora; V. Divison in Colombia, Hellas, Ireland, Uruguay; VI. Division in Chile, France, Israel, Österreich; VII. Division in Argentina, België, Deutschland and España.
  • Season 27 - VII. Division in England; XI. Division in Deutschland.
  • Season 33 - League extensions:
    • Up to IV: Al Jazair, Andorra, Azərbaycan, Kazakhstan, Sakartvelo, Tounes;
    • Up to V: Misr;
    • Up to VI: Hong Kong;
    • Up to VII: China;
    • Up to VIII: Israel;
    • Up to X: Polska, Portugal.
  • Season 36 - XI in Italia.

Note that Sweden is a special case when numbering the league levels; the first level is Allsvenskan, then come Ia to Id, then the "second" divisons IIa to IIh, and so on. So, the lowest division in Sweden, the tenth level, is actually called division IX (nine).

Legend:

* Global season is referred to the first league ever created, the swedish one. It is calle "global " because the same number is shared by leagues create before 2001 (all other leagues were given their own season number starting at 1).
** The national code is an identification number used by Hattrick. Normally each new country added takes the number following the last one used, although in some cases codes have been used for tests or other hidden activities and are no longer available (i.e New Moon, a hidden test league created and then cancelled).
*** n.a. is for a national code not active, unused or not accessible - This is where there are jumps in the numbering.
(^1) Restarted on the first of January 2002 after an error in season one that caused these leagues to be created without any teams in it.
(^2) originally "Srbija i Crna Gora" and renamed in g.s. 30 after creation of Montenegro (131. Crna Gora..
(^3) Kuwait was created using national code 127 left previously vacant.
