Senegal (Sénégal in French, Senegaal in Wolof) is an African country. It was the 101st nation to join the Hattrick World.
Republic of Senegal covers a land area of almost 197 000 km2 (76 000 sq mi) and has a population of around 16 million. Economic and political capital is Dakar. The state was part ofFrench West Africa, independent from colonial rule. Because of this history, the official language is French.
