United States of America (commonly known as USA or U.S. in English) is a North American country. It was the 8th nation to join the Hattrick World.
The USA consists of 50 states, a federal district, five major self-governing territories, and various possessions. At 3.8 million square miles (9.8 million km2), it is the world's fourth-largest country by total area. With an estimated population of over 328 million, the U.S. is the third most populous country in the world. The capital is Washington, D.C., and the most populous city is New York City.
History
- The American league has existed since the 23rd of September 2000 (global season 11). Although reliable records seem to exist only back to global season 13 (no records for season 12, and no tables for season 11), USA really started in season 11.
- As part of Hattrick's initial expansion, even if younger than Sweden, the country uses the global season count (along with only England, Germany, Italy, France, Finland, Denmark, Argentina and Mexico).
- The country was initially organized into four divisions, then they expanded to five divisions in season 15, and for season 19 they expanded to the current six divisions.
- USA hosted World Cup IV, qualifying and reaching Round III.
- During World Cup VI the United States were on spotlight for their elimination in the famed "Scroll Wheel Incident".
- USA also hosted U-20 World Cup XXVI, qualifying and reaching Round II.

Federation
The top Defending federation, Defense Trainers, was also founded by a USA manager, and currently stands as the largest US-based federation. Other popular US-based Federations are: Regional Federations are also extremely prevalent, with at least 18 Regional Federations in operation claiming territory over 41 of the 50 states. |
