==Group Stage==
The Group Stage of the forty-eighth Sealand Cup ran from 16 to 31 March 2021.
===Format===
The teams in each group played each other in a single round-robin format, playing the other teams in the group once (at home or away). Each team earned 3 points for a win in regular time, 2 points for a win after extra time or after a penalty shoot-out, 1 point for a loss after extra time or after a penalty shoot-out and 0 points for a loss in regular time. For goal difference purposes, matches decided after extra time or after a penalty shoot-out were treated as if the match had been decided after a golden goal (regardless of the actual number of goals scored). This point system is similar to the system used by the (real-life) IIHF for international ice hockey matches.
The order of play in each group was pre-determined (the Pot I team would face the middle-, lowest- and highest-seeded Pot II team in that order), except for the Blue Group (which originally contained just three teams).
The top-two teams of each group, the best third-place teams and one wild card team advanced to the second round (round of twenty-four). All other teams qualified for the [[Sealand Cup XLVIII/Fort Roughs Cup|Fort Roughs Cup]]. If two or more teams were level on points, the head-to-head result was the main tie-breaking criterium.

Sealand Cup XLVIII was the forty-eighth edition of the Sealand Cup, the friendly competition of the Sealand federation and was held in (Dutch) season 66. The final was held at KNGF Homeground on 2 May 2021, where Royal Sun And Evil FC defeated FC Jaapo 4–1 to win their first Sealand Cup. It was the first ever Sealand Cup final without a Dutch team, the first time since Sealand Cup XXII (26 seasons ago) that a Belgian team won the trophy and the third consecutive time that FC Jaapo lost the final. Title holders Azzato's Mighty Heroes did not participate.

Participating teams

Thirty-six teams participated in Sealand Cup XLVII, including nine previous champions. MK Donssnor and Theseus1 made their début. Two teams (Ad Maiorem Mei Gloriam and Angels United) were still active in a national cup tournament at the time of the draw and could not participate (the Prince Roy Cup did not go ahead, as there were only two eligible teams). Title holders Azzato's Mighty Heroes did not enter, as they wished to focus on their participation in the Dutch Consolation Cup (which they eventually won).

Seeding

The draw for the group stage was held in Heeze on 10 March 2021.

Teams were seeded based on their Sealand-Coefficient, which was solely determined by results in all previous Sealand Cups, with results losing a quarter of their value each season. The teams were divided in two pots; the top-quarter (seeded teams) in Pot I and the remaining teams (unseeded) in Pot II.

Teams from the same region could not be drawn against each other. Fort Roughs Cup holder Kennemerland 6 could not be seeded lower than seventeenth (their final position in the previous season).
